terrorI've been offline for ages... life took over so, you can't say no to life can you... or maybe you can but she/he won't listen (you can1t very well call life an it, at least i can't...) in the past i used to wish i could but now i just go with the flow, or the the occasional tsunami... i have moved AGAIN this adds up now to 35 moves in 51 years of life, i'll make the Guinness Book yet.

this move implicated on a change of phone number. now bear in mind this is BRAZIL: it took them 3 months to get me a phone line and then... no internet access. i had to threaten to sue them. i kept calling the privatized telephony company and hearing a load of shit equivalent to at least 100 bulls.

they have this amazing neotech 'robot' thing that answers your calls and NEVER understands what you say. i mean at one point i had to say yes or no; i said YES and the robot answered: I'M SORRY I DON'T UNDERSTAND YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

SO I RESORTED TO READING KAFKA, I EVEN PRAYED TO HIM, HE HAS BECOME MY GURU FOR EVER.

finally inspired by my GURU i resolved to turn this ABSURD EXPERIENCE into a creative opportunity, i started writing an article/fable about this whole experience, a tale of the absurd of course.

i keep contact with my guru and he's been a great help, got me in touch with Alexander the Great, Dr.Bucephalus, and countless interesting people i would never met other wise.

So all things counted this has been a great lesson and a wonderful opportunity.

And yes, i'm now starking raving mad, a true lunatic, and I LIKE IT!

Long Time no Blog

Well, It's been a long time away from my blog. I've moved back to Rio de Janeiro and have been busy with sooo many things it's not worth going into them all. The last one, our miserable performance at the World Cup :(. I mean, you can't imagine what brazilians are like about football... I don't mean just that we're crazy about it, but we expect A LOT from our players (especially since they're mostly millionaires these days). So after the frustation it's back to real life... not an easy proposition here, what with elections coming on and all the demagogy that's being pouring out from the politians every pore. It's downright sad.... I kind of hope that by my grandchildren's time... Anyway I hope to be returning to posting more often now. Cheers to all

Today is Carnival in Rio, Brazil

and there is nothing else but Carnival. That's all you see and hear and view on TV. the innescapable outburst of humanity of all classes and shades of colour. the ultimate expression of the imaginary of my country. For 4 days there is just play (brincar. In the samba schools contest and in the streets. So I'll just post some pictures and wish I could give you some sounds as well but I don't have enough space to upload the music. So get you imagination going and enjoy... PS: If anyone wants some songs to listen to just contact me via msn (medusamva@hotmail.com)For more carnival pictures just click on any of the photos and you'll be taken to my Media Page.
